Partners and stakeholders who participated in the discussion on the implementation of the 2018 Budget Year Strategic Plan and the Three-Year Transformation Program of the region courts toured the Amhara Region Supreme Court's modern facilities, which have been developed to provide a comfortable working environment and enhance judicial service delivery.
As previously reported, the Amhara Region Supreme Court held a discussion forum with partners and stakeholders to review the implementation of the 2018 Budget Year Strategic Plan and the Three-Year Transformation Program of the region courts.
The forum brought together university presidents and legal scholars from various universities, members of the legal profession, heads of regional government offices, presidents of high courts, religious leaders and elders, representatives of women, youth, and persons with disabilities, as well as representatives of civil society organizations.
Following the discussion, participants toured the Supreme Court's digital technology infrastructure, which has been established to create a modern, efficient, and citizen-centered judicial system while providing a comfortable working environment for both employees and court users.
The participants commended the Supreme Court for creating an accessible and conducive working environment for employees and the public. They also expressed their appreciation for the leadership and commitment of the Honorable President in advancing judicial service delivery through the effective integration of modern digital technologies.
During the visit, the partners and stakeholders explored the Digital One Center, where court users can access multiple judicial services in one location; Smart Courtrooms, which facilitate remote court proceedings through digital technology; a modern and convenient Childcare Center for employees; and the Call Center, which enables litigants to file cases remotely, monitor their appointments, receive updates on the status of their cases, and confidentially submit suggestions and feedback regarding court services.
The visitors expressed their admiration for the remarkable transformation they witnessed and stated that the Supreme Court's achievements serve as a model of judicial modernization that other public institutions should emulate.
