The President of the Federal Supreme Court, Hon. Mr. Tewodros Mihret, along with presidents of regional supreme courts, arrived in Bahir Dar to participate in the National Special Conference of Legal Interpreters.
Arriving a day ahead of the conference, the court presidents attended the closing ceremony of the Second Annual Conference of Amhara Region Courts Judges, held under the theme “Expanding Access and excellence in Judicial Services.”
Following the closing ceremony, the presidents took part in a friendly football match at Bahir Dar International Stadium.
The match provided an opportunity for the court presidents to connect beyond their institutional responsibilities and highlighted the role of sports in fostering friendship, teamwork, mutual understanding, and professional solidarity.
The court presidents are scheduled to jointly convene the National Special Conference of Legal Interpreters tomorrow. The conference is expected to play an important role in strengthening cooperation among courts across the country and deliberating on key issues concerning Ethiopia’s judiciary and justice system to help determine appropriate measures for further improvement.
