The Amhara Region Supreme Court is carrying out reform and improvement work to make the regional judicial service delivery quality, efficient, modern, accessible, time and cost-effective, and to ensure that the courts gain public trust.
Guests from the federal and regional governments have been able to observe the reform work of the Supreme Court at various times, and today, members of the Ethiopian Media Women Association who were at the Supreme Court to take a training on court case reporting and the reform and improvement work of the court, visited the reform work of the Supreme Court.
During their visit, they observed the Supreme Court’s digitalization works and smart courts, the Digital One Center service, open courtrooms, call centers, and other reform and improvement works.
The media professionals, who expressed their admiration for the improvement works, stated that the Supreme Court is fulfilling its legal responsibility by providing smart court services and e-filing services to citizens, eliminating the inconvenience and expense that citizens previously faced in accessing justice and providing access to justice.
In addition, they stated that the establishment of a separate shelter for mothers with children who come to the Bahir Dar Division of the Supreme Court with cases is a humanitarian act and a work that allows the stakeholders to use the institution with a sense of belonging and ownership.
The experts said that they found the work done by the Supreme Court to be suitable for the region and the regional community, and called on other institutions to use the exemplary work of the Supreme Court as an experience and build institutions that provide convenience to their users, ensure user satisfaction, and develop infrastructure that allows them to provide quality services.
