The Supreme Court of the Amhara Region is implementing a comprehensive reform program aimed at modernizing judicial service delivery and making it more efficient, accessible, timely, cost-effective and responsive to the needs of the public. These reforms are also intended to strengthen public trust and confidence in the judiciary.
Over the course of the reform process, the Supreme Court has welcomed guests from both the federal and regional governments to observe the progress of its institutional reforms and modernization efforts.
Today, the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Dr. Abiy Ahmed, visited the Supreme Court to observe the ongoing reform and modernization works.
During his visit, the Prime Minister toured the Court's digitalization initiatives, including the Smart Courts system, E-filling system, the Digital One Center service, a modern childcare center, open courtrooms, the call center, and other projects aimed at institutional efficiency and service delivery.
At the conclusion of the visit, Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed expressed his appreciation for the remarkable progress achieved through the reform program. He also expressed his gratitude to the the President of the Supreme Court, Honorable Ato Alemante Agidew, for his leadership in implementing reforms that have significantly improved the judicial system and enhanced the Court's ability to address the needs and concerns of the public within a relatively short period.
