Mr. Zemede Zewde, the Ethiopia Representative of Catholic Relief Services, conducted a working visit to the Amhara Regional Supreme Court in Bahir Dar.
During his visit, Mr. Zemede met with the President of the Supreme Court, Honorable Alemante Agidew, and held a bilateral discussion on potential areas of future cooperation.
As part of the visit, Mr. Zemede toured several reform initiatives launched by the Court, including the Smart Court system, e-filing, the digital one-stop judicial service center, and other transformation efforts. He was also briefed by Honorable Alemante on the wide ranging reform activities undertaken by the Court.
Mr. Zemede expressed his appreciation for the reform initiatives introduced by the Court, noting that they are both impressive and encouraging. He further stated that Catholic Relief Services would explore all possible avenues of collaboration with the Supreme Court. Moreover, he emphasized that the outcomes of the Court’s reform efforts could serve as a model within the justice system and should be replicated in other areas.
