Debreberhan, May 30\/2026 (Amhara Region Supreme Court)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Supreme Court of the Amhara Region is working to ensure that the judicial service delivery in the region is quality, efficient, modern, reliable, time-saving and cost-effective, and that the courts have earned the trust of the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Supreme Court, which is working to make the modern judicial service delivery system, digitalized, a comfortable working environment, and the constitutional right to a fair trial accessible to the courts in the zonal and Woreda courts, has launched a smart court service in 14 zonal high courts in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The President of the Supreme Court of the Amhara Region, Honorable Ato Alemante Agidew, and the state Minister of Justice of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Honorable Ermias Yemanebirhan (PhD), along with other senior federal and regional officials, visited the North Shewa Zone High Court. During their visit, they observed the smart courts, e-filing application, and courtrooms where justice is delivered openly, among other services of the High Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stating that strengthening the courts is the foundation of building a democratic country, the President of the Supreme Court, Honorable Ato Alemante Agidew, stated that extensive efforts are being made to extend the reform work to all  other courts in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The federal and regional leaders who attended the visit appreciated the work done by the Supreme Court to make modern judicial services accessible to all courts in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
