Paris, March 31, 2026 (Amhara Region Supreme Court)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A delegation led by Hon. Alemante Agidew visited the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris. The visit is part of ongoing efforts to establish an international arbitration and mediation center, as well as a comprehensive judicial complex aimed at strengthening alternative dispute resolution and the rule of law in Ethiopia.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting was attended by Hon. Alemante Agidew, accompanied by Her Excellency Ambassador Mehalt Hailu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the French Republic and Permanent Delegate of Ethiopia to UNESCO, along with other members of the delegation.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted Ethiopia\u2019s ongoing legal reforms and emphasized the importance of developing a globally competitive arbitration, rule of law, and peace center. The ICC- International Court of Arbitration President, Mrs. Claudia Salomon, expressed her organization\u2019s willingness to support the initiative through cooperation, experience sharing, and professional assistance.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n
The delegation is also scheduled to visit additional international arbitration centers and courts.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n
